In the world of real estate, a lot of time is wasted playing phone tag to get showings scheduled and to get feedback. Unfortunately, this is the cause of much frustration among listing and showing agents alike.

At its core, ShowingTime takes the inefficiencies out of the process, resulting in more showings, more feedback, less frustration and quicker sales. However, the technology behind ShowingTime’s seller app made it increasingly difficult for the company to achieve its core mission. The app was becoming more difficult and costly to maintain, it was missing a variety of features the company deemed necessary, and it was not built for the new devices in the market today.

ShowingTime engaged Merit Solutions to work on their new scheduling / seller mobile app. They wanted a solution that was built for today’s technologies – providing a faster, native, and improved user experience.


Merit Solutions leveraged Microsoft’s cross-platform mobile development platform, Xamarin, to create the new ShowingTime application. With Xamarin, ShowingTime is able to utilize one code base and deploy to multiple platforms – reducing the technology footprint and resource requirements needed to maintain the app. Merit Solutions also enabled DevOps for the ShowingTime application, implementing standards and best practices for app requirements building, development, testing, releasing to production, and then releasing to the stores. This will foster continuous innovation and performance improvements for the application.
